The city of Bayreuth rightfully claims its status as both a cultural and a sports city. Culturally, the Franconian district capital is primarily shaped from a historically influenced perspective by the trio of Wagner, Margravine Wilhelmine, and Jean Paul. However, the range of events, attractions, and highlights today extends far beyond that!

Similarly, the situation in sports is quite comparable: Bayreuth is known for the surprising amount of high-level sports being played in the city, given its size of around 75,000 inhabitants (basketball, soccer, ice hockey, handball, table tennis, etc.), and the most important sports venues are just a stone's throw away from Lohmühle. On the other hand, Bayreuth offers all active athletes an incredibly diverse range of activities.
